Jovino Velazquez

Jovino is an entrepreneur and payments executive with over 25 years of experience. He has started and successfully sold prior business ventures. He is well known for developing highly productive talent, partnerships and profitable channels. In addition, he serves as an advisor and mentor for many prior employees climbing the success ladder.

Jovino is currently responsible for leading future opportunities in the organization with POS resellers, strategic partnerships, POS developers, and payment acquirers for all payment related activities. With over 14 years of merchant acquiring experience, Jovino has successfully formed and led high achieving sales, and business development teams with payment processing giants such as First Data and Vantiv, but also in startup organizations like Century Payments who was recognized as a Top 10 Inc 500 company as well as the fastest growing payment processor in 2009.

Prior to Fidelis Payments LLC, Jovino served as an Executive Advisor for Capture Code (2015-2016), and responsible for the go to market strategy of a mobile consumer engagement and loyalty platform. He currently still serves as an advisor to the executive team.
Jovino served as Vice President of Integrated Partnerships with Vantiv (2011-2015), the 2nd largest merchant acquirer in North America. While at Vantiv, he pioneered the formation of the Integrated Partner Channel and provided the vision for major acquisitions by providing proof of concept. He crafted the Business Development approach for Point of sale developers, as well as Point of sale resellers. His teams successfully sold, integrated and proactively managed Point of sale, developers, point of sale resellers and third party referral relationships resulting in new sales of over $100 million and growing. Jovino was also named a President’s Club Member in 2014.

As Executive Vice President of Sales for Century Payments (2009-2011), Jovino piloted the launch of Radiant Payment Services (now NCR Merchant Services), a white labeled fully integrated sales team. He established successful sales relationships with POS developers and the network of specialized resellers for Aloha hospitality software and Counterpoint retail software. His teams sold over 10,000 new customers and well over 18,000 locations with a fully integrated payment processing bundled solution. This team still exists today and successfully boards over 300 new accounts per month. Century Payments was later acquired by World Pay. Jovino was also named a President’s Club member in 2010 and 2011.

Jovino also served as Senior Vice President of Regional Sales for First Data (2003-2009). While at First Data he was the top revenue producer for 2007 in total revenue generated by launching the fastest start-up bank alliance Colonial Merchant Services, a white labeled payments team. His team also supported additional bank alliances such as SunTrust Merchant Services, Citi Bank merchant services as well as others. He also served as Vice President of Sales and Sales Director from 2006 – 2007, as well as Territory Manager in 2005 the top revenue producer for the year. He was Promoted 5 times in 7 years. Jovino has received numerous awards including the Presidents Club (4 time member), Sales Select Club and Top Revenue Producer. As a part of his continuous emphasis on mentorship to peers, Jovino also served as a member of the Leadership Mentorship program in 2007.
